National Education Foundation (NEF), Law College, Guwahati is inviting application forms from eligible and interested candidates for admission into BA, LLB (Hons) / BBA, LLB (Hons) / B.Com, LL.B (Hons) and LLB (3 Years) Courses for the session commencing 2018. NEF Law College, established in the year 2006 is one of the finest centers of Law Education in the NE Region. The College is located at Christianbasti, G.S.Road in the heart of Guwahati city. Significantly, Guwahati – ‘the gateway of North Eastern India’ is linked by road, rail and air with the rest of the country and more particularly with the other states in the North East. The College is duly approved by the Deptt of Higher Education, Govt. of Assam and permitted and affiliated by Gauhati University. The College is also approved by Bar Council of India (BCI). Application Form for NEF Law College Admission Test 2018 has been started from 20th April 2018 for 05 years law course and 25th April 2018 for 03 years Law course. Candidates, who are eligible and can make submission of their NEF Law College Test 2018 application forms till 22nd June 2018 for 05 years law course and 25th June 2018 for 03 years Law course. Once applicants successfully submitted their offline application forms after that shortlisted candidate will appear in written test on 23rd June 2018 for 05 years law course. Hey guys sure about your eligibility conditions because if your eligibility criteria should not match as per the requirement of NEF LLB Programmes then your application forms should be rejected.

Eligibility Criteria

For Five Year Integrated Law (BA, LLB (Hons)

As per Bar Council of India (BCI) Rule, a candidate opting for admission to the Five Year Course must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent exam securing in aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks for general candidates and not less than 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates

Not completed 20 years of age (22 years for SC/ST) on 1st June of the year of admission

BBA, LLB (Hons)

A candidate for admission to the Five Year Integrated BBA, LLB(Hons) Course must have passed the Higher Secondary Exam(10+2) or an equivalent exam securing in aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks for general candidates, not less than 42% for OBC category and 40% for SC/ ST candidates as per latest Bar Council of India Rules

B.Com., LLB (Hons)

A candidate for admission to the Five Year Integrated B.Com., LL.B. LLB (Three Years)

A candidate for admission to the Three years LL.B. Course must have Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 45% of the total marks for general candidates, not less than 42% for OBC category and 40% for SC/ ST candidates as per latest Bar Council of India Rules. Those awaiting for their final year results can also apply

Aged not more than 30 years for general category applicants & 35 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates

Application Fee

Admission Form and Prospectus can be obtained from the College Office on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 200/- is the entrance examination fee) or by post sending a DD of Rs. 550/- made in favour of ‘NEF Law College” payable at Guwahati.

Selection Criteria

For 5-year Integrated Courses:

Admission into Five Year Integrated law courses will be based on NEF Law Entrance Test (NLET). Candidates who have appeared in final exams of 10+2/HS or equivalent exam will be provisionally allowed to appear in the NLET; however, the candidate will be required to produce the same at the time of admission

Exam Pattern

An Entrance Exam shall be conducted by the College for the purpose of admission to the First Semester B.A., LLB (Hons)/BBA, LLB (Hons)/ B.Com., LLB (Hons) course. Exam will be held in Guwahati as per the date and venue mentioned in the Admit Card/Hall ticket

There shall be one single paper of 2½ hours duration consisting of Multiple Choice & short answer type Questions of a standard expected from 10+2 students; the weightage given to different sections are as under (the figures within bracket show the tentative number of Questions in each area):

Part I – English including Comprehension (40 questions),

Part II – General Knowledge/ Current Affairs (40 questions),

Part III – Elementary Mathematics (30 questions),

Part IV – Legal Aptitude / Awareness (40 questions),

Part V – Logical Reasoning (30 questions) and

Part VII – Long Questions (2 questions)

There shall be a total of 182 questions with 1 mark for each question. The questions shall be of multiple choices /objective type. For each correct answer, 1 (one) mark will be awarded. There is no negative mark for a wrong answer. This rule is applicable for question No. 1 to 180 only

There shall be multiple sets of Test Booklets (Series A, B, C & D), each set containing same 182 questions in different sequence

Exam Pattern for 05 years Law Course

NEF Law College Admission Entrance Admit Card

Students who have submitted the online application form are required to download the Admit Card online two weeks before the day of Entrance Test. The admit card will indicate the seat number and the exam centre (with its address) allotted to the candidate. To occupy the seat in the test hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the Test.

NEF Law College Admission Test Answer Key

Candidates will be able to download their NEF Law College Entrance Test Answer Key 2018 via online mode after few days from exam commencement. Answer sheet of entrance exam will release within 72 hours after held the examination of this course.
