DNB PDCET Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have passed the final exam leading to the award of PostGraduate Diploma from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Govt of India i.e. have passed/Passing the final exams for Post graduate diploma on or before 30th June 2018 can apply for the Post Diploma CET Exam The same Broad specialty
  • Candidate should have completed his/her 2 years of post-diploma training by 30th June 2018
  • Submission of proof of having passed/Passing the Post graduate diploma final exam on or before the 30th June 2018 is an essential prerequisite
  • In case the candidate does not submit requisite proof of passing his/her post graduate diploma final examination, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in July 2018 admission session
  • Candidate found to be ineligible at any stage of DNB-PDCET will not be permitted to appear in the exam. In an unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the DNB-PDCET, the result/candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled
  • Candidate who are qualifying their PG Diploma exit exams and getting their results after 30th June 2018  or likely to qualify after 30th June 2018 need not apply in the DNB-PDCET exam as they shall be ineligible to appear in the DNB-PDCET
Selection Criteria
  • Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of merit prepared on the basis of marks in the examination.
  • Students will be called for counseling where seats will be allotted according to their rank preference and availability of seats.

How to Apply
  • Students may log on to website that is www.nbe.edu.in
  • At first move on the home page for link as “DNB PDCET 2018 Application Form”.
  • Read details and enter on “New User Registration” link to register yourself.
  • Fill all details very carefully like Candidate Name, Age, gender, category, date of birth, mobile number, email id etc.
  • Further pay application fee by using Credit / Debit Card / Net Banking.
  • Once the registration will be completed with correct details, then your mobile will receive SMS of a “Registration Id”.
  • Now already registered candidates need to enter their registered user id and password and then press “Log in” button.
  • Save your registration no. properly.
  • Now fill Application Form that will be displayed.
  • Here you must fill academic, study, reservation, personal and other details
  • Upload educational documents/ certificates/ photograph/ signature other things if required.
  • At last, press “submit” tab and take hard copy of DNB PDCET Application form.

Exam Pattern of DNB CET 2018

There is a certain exam pattern declared by NBE for DNB CET 2018 examination. It is essential for the appearing students to have complete information about DNB CET 2018 Exam Pattern so that they prepare accordingly. Mentioned below are the highlights of the exam:

Scheme of Exam

  • DNB-PDCET is an entrance exam and is an essential prerequisite for entry to post diploma DNB 2 years post graduate courses. The next session of entrance exam shall be held on June 2018 and conducted as computer-based exam only.
  • Appearance in the Post Diploma CET is an essential pre-requisite for entry to the DNB Broad Specialties (Secondary Seats) July 2018 admission session.
  • All the candidates who appear in the above exam will be given a merit position (rank) in descending order of the marks obtained by them. The merit list shall be published specialty wise (merit list for DGO, DMRD, DMRT, DORTHO, DOMS, DLO, DA, DVD, DPM, DCH,DNM, DTCD, DPMR.
  • The exam comprises 300 multiple choice, single correct response questions of 1 mark each in English language only as per the following indicative scheme:
  • Human Biology (Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry) – 50 No. of questions;
  • Applied Pathology, Microbiology and Pharmacology – 50 No. of questions;
  • Medicine and Allied Sciences – 50 No. of questions;
  • Surgery and Allied Sciences – 50 No. of questions;
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology – 50 No. of questions;
  • Community Medicine including Basic Statistics & – 50 No. of questions
  • Candidates successful in DNB-PDCET shall participate in Centralized merit based counseling conducted by National Board of Exams for allotment of DNB seats at NBE accredited Institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of their specialty specific merit and candidate shall be able to opt for the NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical college of their choice as per availability at their merit
  • There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions
DNB PDCET 2018 Syllabus

The syllabus is the most important part for the students to know and prepare accurately for DNB CET 2018 exam. The key point to take down the corresponding syllabus for students is as follows:

  • The syllabus comprises of various subjects or knowledge areas as a medical graduate.
