In this year, Agriculture Scientist Research Board is going to conducts ARS-2017 (Preliminary) and NET (I)-2018 Examination on 06th April 2018 to 13th April 2018. Candidates who will apply for ASRB NET 2018 Exam will appear in this exam on given dates, ASRB NET exam will be held only in online mode at 23 centres across India in a staggered slot-wise examination format. ASRB ARS 2017 main examination will be conducted on 24th June 2018. Candidates must remember ARS (Preliminary) Examination marks will not be calculated in final merit of the candidates because it is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have need to appear in ARS Examination and required to take both the Preliminary and Mains Examination and viva-voce. ASRB NET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • Candidate must be either a citizen of India/ Nepal/ Bhutan/ Tibetan refugee or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania,(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Required Educational Qualifications

  • Applicants before participate in ASRB NET exam must also have a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline from any Indian University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institution.
  • If candidates have Master degree from a foreign University, they will attach a certificate of equivalence and recognition of that degree issued by the University Commission/ Govt. of India/ any other concerned Govt. of India/ Department or Agency.

Age Limit

  • Candidates who want to appear in ASRB ARS 2018 exam, their minimum age should be 21 years and maximum age limit is 32 years.
  • Relaxation in upper age will also be provided only to reserved category candidates.
  • 05 years of age relaxation is for SC or ST category candidates.
  • 03 years of age relaxation is for other backward classes/ Non-creamy layer candidates.
  • 10 years of age relaxation is for Divyang candidates.
  • 03 years of age relaxation is for SC/ST/OBC/ Divyang candidates who have Ph.D. degree.
  • 05 years of age relaxation is for those candidates who have Jammu & Kashmir state domicile.
  • For other classes relaxation in upper age will be applicable as per the instructions of Government of India.

Mode of Application Fee Payment

For ASRB NET exam, candidates must deposit application fee by Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking from any Bank from 1000 hrs on 06.02.2018 till 1700 hrs on 02.03.2018. No other way is available from that you can deposit payment of ASRB NET examination fee.

ASRB NET 2018 Selection Criteria

FOR ARS

  • For Agricultural Research Service (ARS), candidate’s selection decision will be made on the basis of Prelims, Mains and Viva Voce performance. As you know ARS (Preliminary) Exam is only a qualifying exam, candidates who will qualify ARS examination will appear in ARS Mains Examination.
  • Candidates who will crack Mains Exam and Viva Voce, they will appoint in Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) as Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS).

For NET

  • On the basis of NET exam performance, candidates will be able to apply for the post of Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/Aus.
